Thank you to all of you who have supported FoundHandmade.com in 2009 and a special thank you to those who have purchased blocks from FoundHandmade.com.

We have exciting news to share with you for 2010!
Because of the low economic times we are facing currently, we have decided to make FoundHandmade free for all our sellers!
We hope that this will bring more traffic and awareness to your shop and bring you lots more sales for 2010.

This is how it will work.

1. For those of you who have already registered and joined FoundHandmade, we will be giving you free blocks to a total of 10 blocks. All you need to do is log-in to your existing account and a total of 10 blocks will be available to you to upload to right away, free of charge.
Those of you who have blocks purchased currently, you will get up to 10 blocks free. Which means if you have, for example, three blocks purchased currently, you will see additional 7 blocks free for your use when you log-in. Your current blocks will stay uploaded as is.

Those of you registering with FoundHandmade.com for the first time will also be given 10 free blocks.
These blocks will be available to you after you register with us and log into your new account.
You will be able to advertise your existing shop by uploading 10 different items onto your 10 blocks which will then link straight back to your existing shop!

2. Once you upload your block with information, you don't ever have to reload that block unless you want to change the information on it.

3. We want to award those who visit our site often, so have put into effect, that if you log-in to FoundHandmade.com once per day, your block will show up on the Main Page. If you don't log-in for that day, your block will not show up on the Main Page. So in order for your block to show up on the Main Page (which is our most viewed page), all you have to do is log-in once a day!

This process of giving away free blocks will take affect at the end of January, so if you had planned to purchase blocks, please wait until the end of January when we will be giving them away with no purchase neccessary.

We will strive to bring more customers and buyers to our site and we hope you tell everyone about FoundHandmade as well.

If you are having difficulties getting your shop name out there or you just want to promote your shop for new prospective buyers, we are extending an offer to do just that on FoundHandmade.com.

We will be doing this via giveaways on our ‘Play and Win’ section.
You can donate an item from your shop and we will feature it on our ‘Play and Win’ page. We have many people spinning the wheel each day.
The best part is depending on how much that donated item is listed for in your shop, we will supply you with free blocks.

For example:

Donated Item is $30 or less- two small blocks for free for one month
Donated Item is $50 or less- one $30 large block for free for one month
Donated Item is $100 or less- one $30 large block and two small blocks for free for one month
Donated Item is over $100- one $30 large block, two small blocks free for one month and one Featured Item block free for 10 days

The more expensive a donated item is the longer period of time the game is run for maximum exposure of your shop.

In addition, we will send out a newsletter to all our members about the giveaway featuring your item and your shop for even more exposure.

For example, this can be anything from pastel colors to bunnies, chicks, eggs, Easter chocolates, photographs or illustrations depicting Easter, etc.

This is a juried event so we will be looking for great products and great photography.
If your item is approved, you will be able to advertise our shop for one month on your own Free Block! Your block will link directly to the item in your shop.

Please set Easter as the subject on the email.

Deadline for the Easter event will be April 12.

We will be having several events per month, so check back often to see if you have something

We will be accepting photos of items that are handmade, vintage or supplies, that have anything to do with St. Patrick's Day.
For example, this can be anything green, clovers, Irish, photographs or illustrations depicting St. Patrick's Day, etc.

This is a juried event so we will be looking for great products and great photography.
If your item is approved, you will be able to advertise our shop or one month on your own Free Block! Your block will link directly to the item in your shop.

Deadline for the St. Patrick's Day event will be March 17.

We are starting a juried event for special days and holidays.
The first event will be the Daylight Saving Time happening on Sunday, March 8.
We will be accepting photos of items that are handmade, vintage or supplies, that have anything to do with TIME. For example, this can be watches, clocks, calendars, photographs or illustrations depicting time, etc.
This is a juried event so we will be looking for great products and great photography.
If your item is approved, you will be able to advertise that item for one month on your own Free Block!

Submit your item for a chance to advertise your shop for free.
Please use Daylight Saving Time as the subject on the email.
Deadline for the Daylight Saving Time event will be March 8.

We will be having several events per month, so check back often to see if you have something you can submit for a chance at free advertising for your shop.

Since the economy is down and under we wanted to offer an enticing freebie from us at FoundHandmade.com to you.

If you currently have a personal blog, you can take advantage of this offer.

We are offering one block (which costs $5, but will be free for you) for one month in exchange for a post about FoundHandmade.com on your personal blog.
This post can be anything you want, all we ask is that you link back to our site at www.FoundHandmade.com.

After you post about us on your blog, just send us the link to the post and we will send you info on uploading to your free block. (If you have not already, you would need to register and log-in to upload to your block.)
